Software and model licenses

unbg software and the model weights it can run are separate works with separate terms.

Each distributed package or repository includes its applicable software license and third-party notices. A software license does not grant rights to separately downloaded model weights.

BRIA RMBG-1.4

The default browser model is published under the provider's RMBG-1.4 terms. The provider describes the model as available for non-commercial use and requires a separate agreement for commercial use. Review the current RMBG-1.4 model card and license before use.

BRIA RMBG-2.0

The quality model is published under CC BY-NC 4.0, and the provider states that commercial deployment requires a separate agreement. Review the current RMBG-2.0 model card and license before use.

Do not assume that "open source" application code makes model weights available for unrestricted commercial use. Verify the terms for the exact model and revision you distribute or deploy.
